Recently, we wrote an article about Triporama’s favorite travel blogs. We did this since we really love our travel blogs here for many reason, but most of all, if done well they make you feel like you are semi-traveling with close friends when you’re probably really at your desk.
Our previous list was pretty great, if we do say so ourselves, featuring some awesome travel blogs that we really love reading.
But since then, we’ve started hanging out on a new social site called triberr.com (if you blog, you have to get on this). And we’ve discovered some really great people writing some really great travel blogs about a really great variety of travel subjects. So…
Triporama’s latest Top 5-O-rama favorite travel blogs.
1. Turkish Travel Blog
Natalie | @turkishtravel
This is a unique and personal look at the country of Turkey from a Brit’s POV who’s lived there for nine years. This blog will make everyone want to travel to Turkey no matter if you’ve never thought to or have always been afraid.

2. Tripify
@tripifyhq
Tripify is a fantastic and easy to get hooked on European focused blog. Gorgeous pictures with fun and timely facts make this ‘clean’ site a pleasure to read each day.

3. Amberr Blog
Amberr | @amberrisme
As her site says, “Like a Bump on a Blog–Typical Travels of the atypical Georgia girl…” Amberr’s blog is about her journeys. And those journeys are fascinating, insightful, poignant, funny, open, and helpful.

4. Man Vs. World
Simon Peterson | @themanvsworld
New Zealanders living in London traveling to 30 countries in 4 years (whew). This is a savvy, young-person’s view of the world. We are really enjoying their trip through Asia immensely.

5. The Barefoot Nomad
Micki & Charles| @barefootnomads
“I love travel because of how it changes and enriches me.” This is a couple with two small children bringing an easy-breezy feeling to International family travel. They are proof that you can have it all – family, travel, and a great blog.

So why did we choose these specific blogs? Simply this, there is a sense that we
are becoming good friends with the writers, enjoying incredible places through their eyes. And that, for sure, is the mark of a great travel blog.
I’m sure we’ll have more to share from our discoveries on Triberr soon.
Hi guys, and thanks so much for including us! We’re thrilled to be in the same company as the awesome folks from Turkish Travel, Tripify, Man vs World and Amberr Blog. All great reads!
The Barefoot Nomad is a good find indeed
They’ve been in my rotation for quite some time now…solid stuff. I also enjoy Natalie’s stuff from the Turkish Blog.
Good list
Thanks for the stopping by T.W. Wish I’d found these sites sooner. Be sure to go check out the most recent pictures on The Turkish Blog when you can – they’re awesome. It’s a great travel blog that makes you say, each time you read it, “I want to go there. Now.”
I like the barefootnomads too.. what a cool family. Travel.. blog.. repeat. Thanks for the post.
Agreed. They seem to have life pretty well figured out.
Thank you so much for including me here! These other blogs are amazing, too, and I am in agreement on your choices. Really appreciate you!
Truly our pleasure, Amberr. So glad that we got to connect through Triberr. BTW, If you would like to do a guest post here on friends and family travel you are more than welcome (that offer goes for all on the list, of course).
Thank you very much for noticing our blog and including it in your list. We have started to think about expanding our view and we will start writing about countries outside Europe quite soon.
Hi Armands,
Lots of non European destinations in your culinary post today. Very cool. Thanks again for commenting here.
Hey guys, thanks for putting me on your list in among other great bloggers. Blushing now but secretly chuffed you like my blog
Love the Turkey info! But can you let us know in the states what “chuffed” means?
Awesome site! This site will come in handy for my customers to reference. (I own an online travel agency) You are being bookmarked now…Chris
Thanks for stopping by and the kind words, Chris. We also really dig dailytraveldeals.com and recommend your deals via Twitter often.
