Aruba
Windsurfing, diving, all-night entertainment
Aruba is one of the smallest islands in the Caribbean yet offers a breathtaking amount of beauty and overall character.
Palm Beach is the center for activities on the island. Here you'll find resort-quality hotels, 11 casinos, and a variety of Caribbean, Brazilian, Belgian, and German cuisines. Aruba has over 40 top-notch dive sites, an ATP-sanctioned tennis club, horseback riding, and championship golf courses.
Nature lovers can expect to see more than 100 species of birds at the Bubali Bird Sanctuary and nature walks through Arikok National Park. Among the diverse nature are the famous divi-divi trees, which are permanently bent by trade winds at a 45-degree angle and will always point west. Over all, Aruba has committed more than 18% of their total island to National Parks.
Tropical trade winds make Aruba a perfect place to windsurf, whether you're a novice or a pro, with the warm weather and low humidity providing the ideal atmosphere for staying outdoors from early morning until late at night. And late at night is when the island lets its cosmopolitan side emerge, with an eclectic bunch of great restaurants, nightclubs, and world-class casinos. Most everything stays open until the early morning, making Aruba a place in which one can easily forget time exists!
