Grand Cayman Diving

Highly-rated, over 200 dive sites, Seven Mile Beach

Grand Cayman, the largest of the three Cayman Islands, is a tranquil diver's paradise filled with colorful coral reefs and a wide variety of sea life. There are over 200 dive sites and 40 dive operations on the island!

Dive magazines consistently rate Grand Cayman as one of the top 5 diving destinations in the world. This is an island of endless shallow reefs, steep walls and old wrecks to choose from. Stingray City is a must dive, as these gentle giant creatures will feed right from your hands in ten foot, crystal-clear water. Another good dive is The Maze, a coral topography of chimneys, caves, and deep canyons at the southeastern end of the island. The North Wall, which starts 70 feet down, delivers a fantastic wall dive. From East to West on Grand Cayman, the dive terrain is vivid, and the fish include Nassau groupers, blue tangs, and occasional reef sharks.

Out of the water, travelers can unwind on the world-famous Seven Mile Beach, with its powder white sand and casuarinas trees. To put even more space between yourselves and the beach chairs of others, head past George Town to Smith's Cove, which has a beautiful area of white sand, plus coral heads and tropical fish right offshore.
