Annually, for three days at the end of July or beginning of August, between 10 and 12 men from four states venture to St. Johnsbury, Vermont for a weekend of golf. Eighteen holes are played on Thursday, 36 on Friday, and 36 on Saturday. After the Saturday rounds the tournament proper is over and awards are handed out at a ceremony ordinarily held at an Italian restaurant adjacent to a one star motel.
