Buddies ski trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites 49er. It wasn't anything special, but it did have a hot tub and was very conveniently located. So much so that we didn't bother renting a car. We just took the bus to and from the mountain each day, and walked to the bars and restaurants that we tried (see list). Even walked to and through the Wendy's drive-through one night (don't expect them to serve you, though).
Jackson Hole is a fantastic place to ski. There's an awesome amount of terrain. Some thrilling stuff. We went before they closed the summit tram -- but you can still access the summit via other lifts, and the summit will be directly serviced from the bottom again starting in December 2008.
Despite its remote location, Jackson is relatively conven ient to get to. We had people coming from San Francisco, Denver, and Seattle, and all were serviced by direct flights.
