Luggage piled up in the wooden boat

Bodies crowded on the bench

The beauty of Singapore busted like a mirage

Heavy rain

We waited blankly for the moment to go ashore

The slatted cart pulled us out of wind and rain

Through the woods is our residence

There are quiet blue stones on the sea

There is an attractive blue pool beside the house

There are childhood friends in the house

In the soft nightlight

I saw those familiar faces

Twenty-five years elapsed unnoticed

But it didn't change the appearance of friendship

Some listen quietly

Some talk eloquently

The setup as it has always been

And it never grows old

Only once a while smiles and laughter fill the gaps between sentences

Regardless of wind or rain

Regardless of whereabout

The smiling faces of my friends Light up my life
