How Hyatt House Virginia Beach stands out
YOUR BEST SELF
My whole thing is finding a hotel that helps me become my best self. Having a great ocean view and being right next to the beach is a great feeling. It’s a thrill for me to sit on the balcony and look out at the water.
One of my favorite ways to get a big burst of great mood is to jump in an indoor pool. Just feels great to hit that warm water - really doesn't matter the weather outside.
Of course have your beach time, walk along Virginia Beach Boardwalk, see Cape Henry Lighthouse, and explore First Landing State Park.
Then come back to your room to relax and recharge – you can choose to lounge on the sofa or in your very own oceanfront balcony.
AVOID THE FEES
I researched the fees for the top hotels in the area. While not perfect, this is one of the good ones.
Free Internet access.
Parking May 1 - September 30 is $25 per night. Parking October 1 - April 30 is $15 per night.
No resort fee.
I don't like fees, they just go against what I'm trying to do. I get it that parking isn't going to be free in this oceanfront location, I just wish it could be.
The free breakfast definitely helps out the fees. Besides, with points we're paying pennies on the dollar for our stay.
Why it’s good with points
The rooms here are comfortable, big, and new. Plus they are oceanfront and have gorgeous views from the room itself and the balcony. This is definitely the kind of place for you to get yourself into your best mood.
I mean most places an oceanfront room is really hard to get and super duper expensive. Here you really can open up your sliding glass door and look out at the beach. It’s amazing to me.
The Oceanfront Studio Suite | One King Bed (plus sofa bed) is 20,000 points per night.
THE OCEANFRONT STUDIO SUITE | ONE KING BED (PLUS SOFA BED)
As we saw, this Suite is 360-square-foot and features a king-bed, sleeper sofa, a kitchenette, and a balcony overlooking the oceanfront. This is huge value.
Get a World of Hyatt credit card with a 50,000 point sign-up bonus. Then you can get two free nights.
As always, it’s even sweeter when you get a partner to also get the sign-up bonus. Move all the points into one account - you’ll have 100,000 points all together. That’s enough for five nights.
There’s so much fun here with the kitchenette, sofa bed, sitting area, balcony, and all the rest.
As always have a partner also get the credit card bonus – that’s double the points and double the nights.
