Whichever spot you choose, prepare to be wowed by the natural light and views of the majestic Choptank River and verdant River Marsh Golf Club. The restaurants also provide plenty of opportunities to enjoy the fresh breezes from a patio or deck.

Blue Point Provision Company

This family eatery offers panoramic river views, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a spacious deck. Come for the laid-back feel, gorgeous sunsets, and menu of "really fresh fish," including daily catches from up and down the Eastern Seaboard. Landlubbers will find lots of options, too.

Waters Edge Grill

Savor regional specialties for breakfast, lunch, and dinner—including kid-friendly dishes—while you enjoy the view of the crescent pool and waterfront. The restaurant features a two-story stone fireplace, soaring ceilings, and a balcony. Reservations are recommended for lunch and dinner, and group dining options are available.

Bay Country Market

Located on the lobby level, our all-purpose general store serves Starbucks® coffee, cappuccinos, lattes, and breakfast pastries. Pick up snacks, grocery items, and our exclusive Off the Rook beer, or browse resort logo gifts, magazines, and sundries.

Docks Poolside

Grab a place in the sun at any of the three pools, and enjoy table (or deck chair) service for lunch and snacks. They also offer a wide array of refreshing tropical drinks. Availability is subject to weather and seasonality, ask the concierge about current hours.

Micheners Library

Enjoy a cocktail and bite to eat in at this namesake for the author of Chesapeake. The space includes fireplaces and a two-story glass wall overlooking River Marsh Golf Course and the Choptank River. Adjacent nooks for billiards and reading are named after area heroes like Harriet Tubman, Annie Oakley, William Vans Murray, and King Ababaco.

Eagles Nest Bar and Grille

Satisfy your post-golf hunger with an appetizer, burger, or fresh salad at this laidback bar and grill on the greens of the River Marsh Golf Club. You can enjoy a frosty beer and catch a game on one of the large TVs or just relax and enjoy the view.

Off the Rook

This lively outdoor bar sits next to the activity pool, overlooking the sparkling Choptank River. Quench your thirst with a fruity tropical cocktail or an ice-cold mug of Off the Rook beer, brewed exclusively for the resort. Hours are seasonal and depend on the weather, so check with concierge for details.

How the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay stands out

My whole thing is finding a hotel that helps me become my best self.  Beautiful views and a connection with nature get my best self going - Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay is a big help here.

One of the most sure fire ways to uplift my mood is to jump in an indoor pool - it just works.  Great indoor pool here - take a dip and sky rocket your mood.

The resort itself has numerous restaurants to take in the views and lots of activities as well.  You could easily make this a resort stay and never leave the property.  Or enjoy all the attractions in the area.  Lots of ways to get your best self going.

I researched the fees for the top hotels in the area.  The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay doesn't have any fees - plus there are lots of activities on the property.

Free Internet access.

Free parking.

No resort fee.

The resort also has facilities and equipment for tennis, basketball, beach volleyball, Frisbee golf, miniature golf, and horseshoes.  Those are things that usually come with a resort fee, and here there's no charge.  Big bonus!

Why it’s good with points

This solid 4 star waterfront resort has a lot to offer those of us paying with points.  First, it's just a wonderful place to let the stress drip away.  Get recharged, that's the most important thing.

No fees at all also always makes me happy.  Especially at a place like the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay with such nice room, natural beauty, and lots of on resort activities.

On the points side the resort continues to deliver in a big way.  A King Room is just 15,000 points per night.  You can even use the certificate you get from the World of Hyatt credit card starting on your first anniversary for a night.

King Room

King Room

Settle into a 400-square-foot room, with a king bed and sliding glass doors that open to a balconette overlooking the resort. This space includes a work desk, sleeper sofa, and a ceiling fan.

Get the World of Hyatt credit card with a 50,000 points sign-up bonus.  That's good for three nights in a King Room.  That's a lot of value for just one card.

Another great value is to go for a Suite.  I always feel luxurious when staying in a Suite so I'm always looking for places where it makes sense with points.

Chesapeake Suite

Chesapeake Suite

Get more with 750 square feet, with your choice of king or queen room, a sleeper sofa, extra bathroom, dining table, and full balcony.

Here you can get a Chesapeake Suite for 24,000 points.  You'll be able to get 2 nights with a 50,000 sign-up bonus from the World of Hyatt credit card.

As always, have a partner also get the credit card bonus - that's double the points and double the nights.

There is really tremendous value here for a great stay and recharged mood.  Get a World of Hyatt credit card and get on your way.

Sapphire points are worth one Hyatt point.  A Sapphire credit card is a great way to get even more Hyatt points than you can with the Hyatt Credit Card.

Once you get the sign-up bonus from your Hyatt credit card also get a Sapphire card.
