How the Hyatt Regency Greenville stands out
YOUR BEST SELF
My whole thing is finding a hotel that helps me become my best self. The hotel is right on Main Street with all its Southern Charm, great restaurant scene, bars, ice cream shops, and all the rest. You really could come just for the food.
Of course within walking distance there is also Falls Park on the Reedy - a great waterfall view from an up close bridge. My family also enjoyed the Swamp Rabbit Trail as a nice walk from the park.
We also walked to the Greenville County Museum of Art, The Children's Museum of the Upstate, and Upcountry Museum (with kids programs).
After enjoying the downtown scene come back to your room or suite to relax. All together it's a great way to get in your peak mood.
AVOID THE FEES
I researched the fees for the top hotels in the area. I'm pretty pleased with the Hyatt Regency Greenville.
Free Internet access.
Self parking with in and out privileges is $7 per night, check for current rates.
No resort fee.
I don't like fees of any sort. Still this one does give me just a little bit of a smile. $7 is about the best downtown parking rate around the country.
Why it’s good with points
This is a great downtown hotel with all the chic restaurants and Southern charm you could expect. When I visited I really enjoyed Falls Park on the Reedy, Legacy Park, and Swamp Rabbit Trail. I felt the Falls were spectacular and just a short walk from the end of downtown.
My daughter was three years old when we visited and there were lots of family activities to keep us busy for a long weekend. The Children’s Museum of the Upstate is an outstanding place for the little ones to enjoy – and walking distance from the hotel. My daughter also really enjoyed the Upcountry History Museum – also near the hotel.
There are all kinds of tasty downtown restaurants. Bars, ice cream parlors, cafes, and really everything else you could want.
