How the Marriott Memphis East stands out

My whole thing is finding a hotel that helps me become my best self.  Luxury and comfort come together at Marriott Memphis East to create a great place to jump start your mood.

Go out and take in Graceland, Beale Street, the Botanic Garden, and all the fun of Memphis.  Then come back to recharge in your comfortable room and hotel.

If golf or a spa are your thing, that's nearby as well.

The indoor pool is about the surest way to bring on my best mood.  Hitting the water gives me a rush - no matter the weather outside.

All in all, the fun is ready to be had so get out your best self.

I researched the fees for the top hotels in the area.  The Marriott Memphis East is happily on the low end for fees.

Free parking.

High speed internet is $9.95 per day, check for latest.

Daily tax of about $2.00.

I don't like any fees because they go against what I'm trying to do - get a free getaway.  Honestly, I especially don't like paying for internet access - just seems like it should be included.

All together about $12 in fees per night isn't bad.  And if you can get by using your phone without wifi you'll just be paying about $2 per night.

Any way you do it, you'll be paying pennies on the dollar with points.

Why it’s good with points

This is an upscale hotel with comfortable rooms and modern amenities.  Go out and enjoy Memphis - then come back to relax and recharge.  That's a great way to get your best mood back.

I always say, there is just about no better pick-me-up in Winter than an Indoor pool.  Go outside on a cold day  - then go to an Indoor pool and jump in.  For me, that makes it completely easy to turn around even a stubborn mood.  It's just so refreshing and amazing.

Points here max out at 30,000 points per night for a King Room.

Weekend nights are often in the 20,000 to 25,000 range, with weeknights the most expensive.  Get a Marriot Bonvoy credit card with a 75,000 point sign-up bonus and you'll have enough points for multiple nights.

Now if you have a partner get the 75,000 point credit card bonus that's 150,000 all together.  That's enough for five of even the most expensive nights.  Plus you'll get the fifth night free to make it six free nights.

Get a 100,000 point sign-up bonus and it's all in your favor.

This is a great place to grab back your best self.  Relax, recharge, and think about these good times you got for nearly no money at all.

As always have a partner get the credit card bonus as well - that's double the points and double the nights.

Get a Marriott Bonvoy credit card and get on your way.

Sapphire points are worth 1 Marriott Bonvoy point.  They give you a way to get even more Bonvoy points.

Once you get your sign up bonus with the Marriott Credit Card then get a Sapphire Preferred card.
